Overview
The CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Tech assists surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile surgical instruments and equipment. They ensure the operating room is properly set up, handle surgical supplies, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team. The role requires strict adherence to safety and sterile techniques to support successful surgical outcomes. Duration and Schedule
Duration: 13 Weeks Start: 11/17/2025 Shift: Day 2x8-Hour (06:30 - 14:00) or 2x12-Hour (10:30 - 23:00). It will be anywhere from 6:30am to 11pm with call. Hours will be filled in wherever the need is for the schedule. Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. Ensure the operating room is properly set up and stocked; handle surgical supplies. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist as required. Adhere to safety and sterile techniques to support successful surgical outcomes. Must-Haves
Scrub experience required 5+ years total CST experience 2+ years in cardiac & vascular 1 year CVOR experience 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility Experience with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing Certifications
BLS Required Skills
General OR Thoracic Vascular CVOR procedures (CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, etc.) Aseptic technique Crash cart, scrub & circulate Equipment documentation Charting System
