Job Description
GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Guard – Retail. The role requires a minimum of five years of security experience, a baton permit, OC spray permit, handcuff permit, and a minimum age of 21. Candidates with military or law‑facing experience are encouraged.
What you will do:
Observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
Work indoor and outdoor in a variable environment.
Provide rapid response in critical situations.
Maintain detailed reports and enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.
Patrol sensitive areas and react quickly to threats or incidents.
Detain, search, document incidents, respond to alarms, conduct on‑site checks, and collaborate with law enforcement.
Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
Qualifications
State security license and additional 32‑hour BSIS security trainings (additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process).
High School Diploma or GED.
Authorized to work in the United States.
At least five years of security experience.
21+ years of age.
Baton permit, OC spray permit, handcuff permit.
Ability to pass an extensive screening process.
First aid certification is an asset.
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Benefits and Compensation
Location: San Jose, CA.
Full time, 40 hours per week – Schedule: Saturday – Wednesday, 4:30 am – 1:00 pm.
Competitive hourly wage of $34 per hour.
