The chosen center in Fort Smith, AR offers quality and affordable family healthcare at more than 80 locations under eight brands.

The center’s walk‑in locations provide a range of healthcare services, including treatments for injuries and illnesses and occupational health and wellness care. The centers are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–4 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m.–6 p.m. The Fort Smith‑Northside location is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m.–7 p.m. All centers are Accredited Care Centers.

Job Summary This full‑time position performs x‑ray testing using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The technician operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, and prepares the room and equipment for each procedure. The role also includes Medical Assistant duties. Team members work rotating 36‑40 hour/week schedules with 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. Per‑diem (PRN) positions are scheduled on an as‑needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

Promptly greets patients in the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or x‑ray room.

Communicates wait times and provides direction to the next step in treatment.

Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent or hazardous situations.

Executes follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.

Assists front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.

Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs, weight, brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information.

Assists with patient transfers.

Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.

Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to each patient visit.

Performs timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.

Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure exams are performed to a high standard.

Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regard to patient safety and care.

Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty.

Maintains and improves diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with outside educational resources.

Maintains current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

BLS certification.

AR state X‑ray license.

ARRT certification preferred.

Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
