About Washington Regional Urgent Care Washington Regional Urgent Care, now with six locations in Northwest Arkansas, is an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our walk‑in centers provide a range of healthcare services including treatments for injuries, illnesses, occupational health and wellness care. Centers are open seven days a week: Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m.–6 p.m. We are Accredited Care Centers of the Urgent Care Association, recognizing our commitment to safety, quality, and scope of services.

Job Summary This position performs x‑ray testing, including patient positioning and body mechanics, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The technician operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, prepares the room and supplies for procedures, and also performs Medical Assistant duties. Full‑time team members work a rotating 36‑40 hour/week schedule of 12‑hour weekday shifts and alternate weekends. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Promptly greets patients in the waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x‑ray room.

Consistently communicates with patients about wait times and guides them through the treatment process.

Provides solutions to patient problems and seeks help in emergent or hazardous situations.

Executes follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.

Assists front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.

Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight; takes a brief history covering past medical, family, social, medications, allergies, and other pertinent information.

Assists with patient transfers.

Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.

Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visits.

Performs timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.

Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.

Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.

Ensures equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty.

Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with support and assistance of external educational resources.

Maintains current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

BLS Certification.

AR State X‑Ray License.

ARRT Certification preferred.

Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
