Responsibilities
Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift for cardiac patients
Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, laboratory, respiratory therapy, and imaging
Unit also cares for med‑surg telemetry patients. This is a nursing surgical floor (not OR):
Specializes in abdominal surgery including bariatrics
Number of beds: 30
RN to patient ratio: 1:5
Qualifications
Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (college or university)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years of hire date
At least one (1) year of RN experience
Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
