The FP&A and Investor Relations Analyst will support the FP&A and IR team in financial planning, forecasting, and operational review processes across the Martin Companies. This role provides exposure to senior leadership, and cross-functional teams, offering opportunities to build strong analytical and communication skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial planning and reporting systems on a daily basis. Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for business leaders and executive management. Support the development of the annual budget, long-range financial models, and re-forecasting processes. Assist with cash flow forecasting, capex tracking and debt/leverage analysis. Analyze historical and current financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare monthly reporting packages for financial and executive leadership, including variance analysis. Contribute to drafting the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) for earnings releases, 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings. Assist in compiling quarterly reporting packages used for board and earnings preparation. Assist in preparing materials for quarterly earnings (investor decks, press releases, FAQs). Support development and maintenance of investor presentations. Help draft and proof investor communications (press releases, investor emails, slide decks). Monitor market, peer, and analyst activity. Maintain investor contact database, monitor IR hotline and email. Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required). 1–3 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or related field (preferred). Strong Excel, PowerPoint and financial modeling skills; experience with reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, OneStream, Essbase, or similar) a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Working Conditions
Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
