Job Overview Our client, a global manufacturer serving diverse industrial markets, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. This role will lead the accounting team, manage month‑end close processes, support audits, and drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and internal controls. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong technical accounting knowledge and a process‑oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Lead the month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and team development.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, HR, and other departments to support financial processes and business initiatives.
Support external audits and tax compliance, preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls; IFRS exposure a plus.
Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
