We are looking for a
detail‑oriented and proactive Indirect Tax Analyst
to join our growing team. In this role, you will support a variety of tax compliance activities across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions, working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process monthly
sales and use tax
returns, including
Canadian GST/HST
filings and related payments.
Assist in compiling
state apportionment
workpapers and ensure accuracy in data reporting.
Support a wide range of tax compliance matters, including:
Franchise/gross receipts tax
Business personal property tax
Informational tax reporting
Maintain and actively manage the
Tax Calendar
to track filing obligations and critical due dates.
Collaborate with
external advisors
to support all aspects of the tax compliance process.
Respond to
notices and audit inquiries
from tax authorities and support indirect tax controversy matters.
Identify and implement
process improvements and automation
opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Act as a
point of contact
for internal teams on tax-related issues and assist in resolving queries.
Support
local teams
during audits or inquiries from tax authorities.
Contribute to various
ad‑hoc tax projects
as needed.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance , or a related field
2+ years
of experience in a
corporate tax department
or
tax consultancy
environment
Solid understanding of
indirect tax principles , including
U.S. sales/use tax
and
Canadian GST/HST
Experience managing tax compliance for
multiple legal entities
Strong knowledge of tax concepts with
practical, hands‑on experience
CPA designation
is a plus
Excellent
analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Proven ability to work
independently
and collaboratively within a team
Highly
organized , with strong
project management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially
Excel
