Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Prototype Test Fixtures – Build, integrate, and optimize fluidic test stations including mechanical assembly, wiring, basic firmware/software development. Select metrology for key fluidic metrics, integrate into fixtures, and characterize sensor performance.
Design Tests and Automation – Design and execute experiments to characterize key fluidics parameters and verify performance of fluidics systems. Develop hardware and scripts (Python, LabView) to automate tests.
Data Analysis – Analyze data using statistical methods and software tools (t-tests, ANOVA, GR&R, statistical process control, JMP, log parsing).
Debug – Investigate data outliers and test failures to identify the root cause of noise sources, errors, and conflicting results using troubleshooting techniques (fishbone, 5 why, is/is-not, 8 Ds). Recommend and implement improvements to test methods, hardware, and analysis.
Communication – Present findings and recommendations to the broader team in the form of presentations and test reports. Clearly communicate results to the design team to address issues with performance, quality, and reliability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s +2 years experience, or Master’s in mechanical engineering, bioengineering, physics, or a related field.
1+ years of experience with fluidics design and metrology.
3D CAD design experience with Solidworks, or similar.
Fabrication (milling, drilling, mechanical assembly, fluidics assembly, cable assembly).
Basic electronics knowledge (microcontrollers, motor drivers).
Script development for hardware interfaces (Python, MATLAB, LabView).
Data analysis tools (SQL, JMP, Minitab, log parsing, python).
We are an equal opportunity employer. We thrive on diversity and collaboration.
