The Senior Electrical Project Engineer will lead and manage large‑scale electrical projects and multidisciplinary teams across the country. What You’ll Do
Lead electrical design for complex projects across multiple sectors.
Manage local and national project teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Develop and review electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and controls.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate electrical systems into innovative designs.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assess project requirements, define scope, budget, and staffing.
Write scopes of work based on client meetings and preliminary reviews.
Conduct engineering studies and schematic designs; analyze existing systems.
Present complex engineering analyses to clients and design teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex design and code issues.
Research and interpret non‑routine code issues.
Produce sketches and system schematics for advanced design tasks.
Prepare cost estimates and review contractor proposals.
Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, lighting, and equipment sizing.
Review drawings for compliance with design standards.
Maintain understanding of construction processes and delivery methods.
Support the development of junior staff and serve as a technical resource.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
Professional licensure required.
15+ years of experience in electrical design for relevant sectors.
Proven experience with MEP or A/E firms.
Expertise in NFPA codes and familiarity with IECC, LEED, ASHRAE standards.
Proficiency in Revit and electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM, Easy Power).
Knowledge of sustainable technologies in commercial electrical design.
