Electrical Engineer - RF Electronics
role at
Logos Space . Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity needs of commercial enterprise users and government users. Logos will provide resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services worldwide, extending cloud and data center network connectivity to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals. Position Summary & Responsibilities
The electrical engineering team at Logos Space works on the design, development, flight validation, assembly, integration, test, and in‑flight success of the logos fleet of spacecraft. Electrical engineering ensures that flight avionics on the logos bus and payload are fully validated, supports hardware design activities from idea to flight, and develops suitable facilities and ground support equipment. Responsibilities
Responsible for overall electrical design, analysis, and validation of RF payload hardware including antennas, amplifiers, filters, mixers, and frequency converters. Assess power/signal integrity across multiple RF circuit topologies. Perform nominal and worst‑case analysis scenarios for hardware development phases. Own product delivery timeline through entire lifecycle (design, development, prototyping, production build, system integration, and on‑orbit operations). Develop and execute RF test plans for component, subsystem, and system‑level validation. Analyze and mitigate EMI/EMC issues specific to RF payload systems. Generate and release technical drawings, specifications, test procedures, and reports to support RF payload design and validation. Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure successful integration of RF payload hardware into the spacecraft. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field with a focus on RF electronics. Minimum 5 years of experience in RF hardware design, analysis, and testing for communication systems. 3+ years experience with RF circuit simulation tools (ADS, Microwave Office, SPICE variants like LTSpice). Proven experience designing and characterizing RF components such as LNAs, PA, mixers, filters, oscillators, and antennas. Experience with RF PCB design, layout techniques, and impedance matching using Altium, ADS, or similar. Strong understanding of RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters) and measurement techniques. Detailed knowledge of EMI/EMC/ESD mitigation techniques specific to RF systems and spacecraft. Proven track record working with electrical hardware systems through the entire product lifecycle. Self‑motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field with a specialization in RF electronics. Experience with RF system design and link budget analysis. Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, CST). Familiarity with parts derating standards such as EEE‑INST‑002 and ECSS‑Q‑ST‑30‑11C. Familiarity with IPC standards relevant to RF PCB design (IPC‑2228). Experience designing hardware for space environments, including radiation effects, thermal management, and reliability. Knowledge of automation/scripting software such as Python or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis. Experience with DSP concepts related to RF systems. Ability and willingness to attain a Top Secret Clearance. Equal Opportunity Employment
