Senior Tax Manager: Single Family Office

The Senior Tax Advisor will join a growing single‑family office with a diverse, multi‑asset investment portfolio.

This high‑impact role will help shape tax strategy, supporting investment structuring, and managing compliance in collaboration with top‑tier external advisors.

The position also involves monitoring legislative developments to ensure optimal tax positioning across a dynamic and disciplined investment platform.

Based in Houston, this role is a 4/1 hybrid role with work from home on Fridays.

Responsibilities

Analyze and advise on the tax impact of investment opportunities across a range of asset classes, ensuring alignment with overall portfolio strategy.

Design and implement tax‑efficient structures for domestic and international investments in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Provide tax guidance on estate planning strategies, including trust structures and wealth transfer considerations.

Advise on philanthropic giving strategies to optimize tax benefits and align with long‑term family objectives.

Partner with legal, finance, and investment teams to support transaction execution and ensure tax considerations are integrated throughout the process.

Track and interpret relevant legislative developments, providing timely insights and strategic recommendations to internal teams.

Oversee the preparation and review of tax filings across various entities, coordinating closely with external advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Participate in special projects and initiatives related to tax planning, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Target Experience

Demonstrated experience in tax, finance, or advisory roles within professional services, legal, investment, or UHNW environments.

Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance across various entity types and jurisdictions.

Exposure to complex financial structures, including trusts, estates, and multi‑family offices.

Familiarity with diverse asset classes and investment strategies.

Strong analytical capabilities, including financial modeling and data interpretation.

Effective communicator with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.

CPA, EA, or LLM is highly preferred.
