Job Overview Our client, an apparel company, is looking for a VP of Design for Boys Apparel to join their team in NYC!
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute boys’ apparel collections that align with brand DNA, market trends, and customer needs.
Oversee product lifecycle from concept through production, ensuring timely execution and financial targets are met.
Partner with cross‑functional teams (sales, design, merchandising, factories) to deliver accurate assortments and samples.
Lead merchandising and assortment planning, analyzing performance to identify growth opportunities.
Drive innovation, streamline processes, and represent the brand in design meetings, buyer presentations, and licensor approvals.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in boys’ apparel design or merchandising with strong knowledge of the market.
Proven ability to build collections, identify trends, and grow businesses.
Strong merchandising sensibility with a commercial design eye and ability to manage from concept to execution.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable working cross‑functionally.
Solid understanding of the competitive landscape across mass, department store, and off‑price channels.
