Overview
Combat Systems Launcher Systems Support Technician II – San Diego, CA
Location: San Diego, California. Minimum experience: 4 years. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Responsibilities Support personnel shall read schematics, troubleshoot wiring and other electrical/electronic components. Assemble, test, and troubleshoot pneumatic lines and valves. Assemble, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic lines and valves across various launcher systems including:
MK 32 Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes (SVTTs):
Disassemble, repair, refurbish, reassemble, and test all MKs and MODs of SVTT mounts in accordance with applicable references and additional drawings required to complete the work task. Remove and reinstall SVTT mounts before and after refurbishment aboard U.S. Navy ships.
Torpedo Breech Mechanisms:
Obtain and maintain Torpedo Breech Mechanism Certification through the ISEA within sixty (60) calendar days of providing direct support. Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, overhaul and test Torpedo Breech Mechanisms in accordance with applicable technical guidance & Formal Work Packages (FWPs). Accomplish all applicable approved Ordnance Alterations (ORD-ALTS) in accordance with technical requirements.
MK 137 MODs 1, 2, & 4 SRBOC Launchers:
Remove, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair/overhaul, reassemble, and install SRBOC launchers in accordance with applicable technical guidance. Conduct electronic operational test before and after final torque of base bolts. Solder connection wires for SRBOC launchers in accordance with system technical manual, Reference 3.6.2.1-I.
MK 137 MODs 7 and 10 NULKA (Decoy Launching System):
Remove, disassemble, overhaul, reassemble, and install NULKA systems in accordance with Reference 3.6.2.1-J. Solder connection wires for NULKA system in accordance with system technical manual, Reference 3.6.2.1-J.
AN/SLQ-32, Electronic Warfare (EW) System:
Remove, disassemble/depopulate, reassemble, and install SLQ-32 EW Systems.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 4 years' experience
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret security clearance
Proficient in the use of basic hand and power tools
Navy rates; GM//FC/TM/CTT/AO or equivalent industry background preferred
Navy/ship/IMA repair experience
Ability to use power tools and have the ability to wear a respirator
Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and repair standards
Ability assist in operational testing, removals/installations, alignments, assembly/disassembly and equipment inspections
Obtain 301 Craftsman qualification
Pay The pay range for this role is $26.26 to $29.20 hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Requires walking, standing, climbing stairs, visual skills and manual dexterity.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
