Overview
This is a 1 bid limit to ensure only the top candidate from each vendor is submitted. This is a true new need for 3 total positions. The State of Wisconsin DWD is looking for 3 (three) .NET Web Developer III contractors.
Responsibilities
Assist with application design and development, and modifications to existing code as part of the DWD modernization project.
Provide technical leadership to drive the development and support of modernization projects.
Required Skills and Experience
.NET Core 8+ (4 years)
Oracle/Db2 (6 years)
C#/Blazor (6 years)
Nice to Have Skills
Web Accessibility coding (3 years)
WCF - Windows Communication Foundation (4 years)
Previous work experience in government, insurance, accounting, or case management systems a plus.

Contract Duration Duration of the Contract: 6/30/2026 with potential for extension
Location Onsite or Remote: Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. No relocation is allowed. DWD is currently allowing remote work from within the state of Wisconsin. The contractor must be available online, be present to meet all workload requirements, and must attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours of 7.45 am – 4.30 pm Central Time. DWD can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with a reasonable advance notice.
NOTE: DWD prefers that the selected hire resides in the greater Madison area. The contractor must be available to work onsite in DWD Madison WI headquarters GEF-1 location at DWD's request, including consecutive weekdays or extended periods, without reimbursement for travel, lodging, or parking expenses.
Project Details These 3 needs are part of the new modernization project at DWD. They are technical leadership positions needed to drive the development and support of the Unemployment Division modernization projects. They will assist with application design and development, new development and modifications to existing code.
