Responsibilities Part‑time position (20 hours per week). The Clinical Supervisor oversees the supervision and development of clinical team members of Newport Healthcare’s adolescent and young adult residential programs. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising clinical team members (bachelor’s and master’s level) and providing the necessary support for ongoing development, training, and supervision. The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for the ongoing development and management of the practicum/internship opportunities offered to students. This will include interviewing, hiring, and training of clinical staff. Responsibilities include weekly individual and group supervision, assessing skills and creating individualized development plans, and observing and providing feedback on clinical assessments, sessions, and groups. Additional responsibilities include clinical compliance and auditing, facilitating therapy groups and carrying a caseload of clients and/or families. The Clinical Supervisor will be expected to be trained in both individual and family therapy.
What You’ll Do
Interview, hire, and train clinical staff in Newport Healthcare’s treatment model, policies, and procedures; assign caseloads and supervise the delivery of therapeutic services.
Maintain a personal caseload as needed and oversee admissions, including screening, assessment, intake, orientation, and treatment planning.
Collaborate with the director to develop and monitor the clinical program schedule, ensuring adequate coverage in compliance with payer requirements.
Lead Parent Support Groups, Multi‑Family Process Groups, and other therapy groups as necessary.
Provide intervention and support for crisis prevention, intervention, and management.
Ensure timely completion of assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation, including conducting chart audits.
Facilitate weekly group and individual supervision for clinicians, as well as weekly treatment team meetings.
Oversee outside clinical independent contractors, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
Participate in QA and UR activities, conducting peer‑to‑peer reviews as required.
Manage discharge planning, including administrative discharges and referrals to higher levels of care.
Represent Newport Healthcare at community meetings, conferences, and trainings.
Develop systems for effective inter‑departmental communication and review staff communication for treatment implications.
Participate in on‑call rotation for clinical emergencies and consultations.
Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required.
Independently licensed in Marriage/Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work in the state where applying.
Board approved to provide individual and group supervision.
Experience in management and/or supervision of clinical team members.
Experience in providing individual and/or family therapy for adolescents, young adults, and parents.
Willingness to be trained, supervised, and provide services within the framework of Attachment‑Based Family Therapy.
Training or experience in trauma‑informed treatment.
Compensation Ranges from $39.42 to $55.95 per hour depending on education and experience.
