Lawrence Street Health Care Center is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering exceptional resident care in a skilled nursing setting.
As the DON, you’ll oversee nursing operations, staff development, and clinical compliance, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care while fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and excellence.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all nursing services and ensure regulatory compliance across all units.
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff to promote retention and professional growth.
Coordinate resident care planning with physicians, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams.
Monitor clinical outcomes, infection control, and quality assurance programs.
Support survey readiness and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
Ensure accurate documentation, effective staffing levels, and efficient workflows.
Serve as a visible leader and advocate for both residents and staff.
Qualifications
Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (required).
3+ years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care environment.
Deep understanding of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and foster collaboration.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to make sound clinical and administrative decisions under pressure.
Must be able to participate in the on‑call rotation and work flexible hours as needed.
Strong working knowledge of EMR systems, documentation standards, and nursing best practices.
