About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Structures/Mechanical Superintendent
to lead field operations on
water and wastewater infrastructure projects
across Southern California. This role will oversee the construction of
treatment plants ,
pump stations , and other related facilities, with project values ranging from
1 M to 30 M .
You’ll be responsible for managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring quality and safety across multiple active job sites. This is a key leadership position within a growing contractor known for delivering high‑impact public works projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise structural and mechanical scopes including concrete structures, piping systems, equipment installation, and process mechanical work.
Lead daily field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to spec.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
Interpret plans and specifications, resolve field issues, and maintain progress schedules.
Enforce safety protocols and quality control standards.
Track materials, equipment, and labor to support project efficiency.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in
water/wastewater construction , with a focus on
treatment plants ,
pump stations , and
mechanical systems .
Strong background in
structural concrete ,
process piping , and
equipment installation .
Proven leadership in managing crews and subcontractors on public works projects.
Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and mechanical drawings.
OSHA 30 certification preferred; strong commitment to safety required.
Preferred Experience
Projects with agencies such as
IEUA ,
OC San ,
City of Long Beach , or similar.
Familiarity with
municipal specifications ,
QA/QC procedures , and
environmental compliance .
