Construction Manager - Small Cell Construction
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Construction Manager - Small Cell Construction with our telecommunications client in Houston, TX. This is a 6‑month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay and Benefits Pay:
$40.00 - $44.82 /hr W2 contract. No PTO or benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Schedule:
Tues‑Thurs in the office, Monday/Friday work from home.
Description
Responsible for the day‑to‑day administrative activities of the Small Cell Network Construction team, including PO creation, CM creation, and invoice review.
Work with the team to improve billing processes and deliverables.
Conduct area data identification, collection, analysis, and reporting.
Maintain open communication across all areas of the business and support units with consistency while building and restoring services.
Accountable for delivering key performance indicators related to small cell node deployment, including on‑time installations, fiber completion, and constructed node delivery.
Support Network Construction Implementation team with tasks such as correspondence, administrative duties (POs, CMs, invoicing), tracking deliverables, and reporting.
Responsibilities
Manage design and construction vendors.
Review small cell construction A&E designs.
Create small cell construction BOM and material orders.
Gather vendor material quotes and share with management.
Submit purchase orders and process contractor invoices.
Assist with project financials and milestone management, including forecasting, invoicing, and resolving overdue invoices.
Provide administrative support as required.
Communicate issues to management before critical status.
Develop progress reports, track progress, identify and resolve obstacles.
Assist with ad‑hoc reporting requests.
Communicate with vendors on small cell construction.
Understand service delivery and small cell requirements for close‑out packages.
Education/Certifications
High School degree or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Experience / Minimum Requirements
Minimum three (3) years of small cell / wireless construction experience.
Experience and understanding of small cell node designs.
Ability to read PIM / sweep testing.
Travel & Expenses 20% travel time to fields in Houston area. Mileage reimbursed only from Houston office to field and back; not reimbursed from home to field and back.
Skills Small Cell Construction and construction project management experience.
