DEA’s Energy Business Unit is hiring an Advanced Power Systems Engineer to work with project engineers and managers on multi‑disciplinary teams, providing analysis and technical expertise for renewable energy clients.
Responsibilities
Perform advanced engineering power system studies using software such as ETAP, EasyPower, PSLF, PSS/E, CYMCAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, EMPT and others.
Prepare project deliverables including data‑gathering requests, accurate study results, technical reports, engineering drawing updates, correspondence and miscellaneous documentation.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines; assess the impacts of design changes on cross‑discipline solutions and foster constructive communication.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
3+ years of power‑system design and analysis experience.
Ability to write clear, concise technical reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
7+ years of Advanced Power System experience (power generation or delivery) using ETAP and EZPower.
Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Experience as an electrical consultant and managing projects.
Experience writing technical papers or reports.
