Role Summary The Team Lead, Platform / Cloud is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing the cloud infrastructure and operations across ERP AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms for Enterprise Technology. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and cost‑efficiency of enterprise cloud environments, with a focus on FinOps best practices and platform optimization.
Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, ERP Platform & Integration, the Team Lead will manage the cloud components of the enterprise platform, including the portal, gateway, and intranet, while driving cross‑functional collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage all aspects of AWS infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimization, while managing a team of contractors and service providers.
Provide oversight and strategic guidance for Azure and Google Cloud environments.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all cloud platforms.
Drive automation and tooling improvements to streamline cloud operations.
Lead weekly syncs with the Director to review progress, issues, and strategic updates.
FinOps & Cost Optimization
Implement and maintain FinOps best practices to monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spend.
Ensure FinOps practices not only track and manage cloud spend but also demonstrate measurable cost savings and cost avoidance through strategic resource planning, rightsizing, and proactive optimization.
Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to forecast usage and manage budgets.
Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track cloud cost KPIs.
Platform Operations
Oversee the operational health and performance of the enterprise portal, gateway, and The Now Portal (intranet).
Coordinate with engineering and product teams to ensure platform scalability and reliability.
Support release management, patching, and incident response processes.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure cloud environments adhere to internal controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
Maintain clear and accessible documentation for cloud architecture, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with TPMs, security engineers, and platform leads to align cloud operations with business priorities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the PMO, providing regular updates, status reports, and operational metrics to ensure alignment with program timelines and strategic objectives.
Manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Provide operational insights and reporting to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with deep expertise in AWS.
Experience with Azure and Google Cloud in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
Familiarity with platform components such as portals, gateways, and service layers.
Excellent communication and documentation skills; experience with Confluence, Jira, and cloud monitoring tools.
