Overview
Infosys is seeking Lead Java Springboot Developers. This position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of large business systems; build applications, interfaces between applications; understand data security, retention, and recovery. The role requires researching technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions and contributing to technology-specific best practices and standards; contributing to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; providing expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guiding/mentoring the team during the build and test phases. Location: Raleigh, NC area or relocation needed. Travel to project locations may be required. Note: This description reflects current expectations and is subject to change.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team. Assist in the technical design of large business systems; build applications and interfaces between applications. Understand data security, retention, and recovery requirements. Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions. Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. Contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability. Contribute expertise on significant application components, programming languages, databases, and operating systems. Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 4 years of Information Technology experience. Experience in Core Java, Spring Boot.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies and experience with frameworks like Spring, Hibernate. Experience with web services, REST services, JSP and JavaScript. Experience with enterprise web servers, preferably WebSphere or JBoss. Experience with UI technologies like HTML5, CSS3, Angular/React is preferred. Experience in software development life cycle and project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects. Willing to work in application/production support. Experience in Banking domain. Strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to work in a diverse environment with multiple stakeholders. Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
Work Environment and Travel
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per job requirements.
