Overview
The salary range for this position is $78,091 to $97,614, depending on experience level. Job Summary This role acts as a consultant with project team to assess the health of projects and work with them to increase viability and predictability. This includes project recovery, project audit, change management, risk assessment, contingency review, estimating review, measurement, and project reporting. The compliance team works to identify competency development opportunities, process improvements, and tool enhancements. Key Responsibilities
Explains theoretical standards into operational usefulness, including compliance to standards and identification of root causes for non-compliance. Proactively identifies and solves complex issues with projects in need of recovery. Identifies process issues and works with project management processes and standards to identify possible improvements. Measures compliance to project management standards and uses measurements to identify project issues, improvements, and recovery tactics. Identifies and assists in competency development opportunities. Develops innovative solutions to project management and project controls through the use of new or enhanced tools (e.g., Primavera, Excel, SAP). Communicates effectively to project teams and senior management on problems or needs. May present information regarding ideas and anticipates objections to gain understanding on correct course of action. Leads others to assess project risk realistically and plan appropriate means to mitigate, eliminate or at times accept such risks. Builds rapport, actively listens, shares, understands, and makes connections to facilitate information sharing and approachability. Anticipates project manager and stakeholder needs, assesses requirements and identifies new solutions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, economics or related field. Seven years of experience in project management, finance, and related subject matter. Proficiency in Primavera (P6) functionality, SAP financial and project systems, and Excel. Strong quantitative skills with ability to produce spreadsheets, database queries, and other analytical tools. Advanced degree, certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), holder of Masters Certificate in Project Management, or the like. Must be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
