Sr. Manager Production Test – CAES Mission Systems, Woburn, MA

Overview Delivering mission‑critical, electronic solutions that protect lives. As the Sr. Manager Production Test, you will lead a team of Test Technicians, ensuring daily production goals are met, providing RF test expertise, and driving continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and 5S.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Assemblers, Operators, and RF Microwave Test Technicians, driving production output and quality.

Conduct daily cell meetings to review output, yield, and production issues; communicate results to site management.

Remove roadblocks by identifying appropriate test methods, equipment, fixtures, procedures, and software.

Provide RF test and tuning leadership for existing and new products; troubleshoot, repair, and modify RF systems and electronic boards.

Maintain documentation and process/product documents; create reports on test data, output, and yield.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, applying lean manufacturing, visual controls, standard work, and problem‑solving methods.

Ensure adherence to company quality procedures, 5S practices, and safety, health, and environmental compliance.

Participate in staff selection, performance management, coaching, training, and employee development; ensure legal and company compliance.

Develop cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, quality, planning, and other support groups.

Lead cross‑functional teams in developing and improving business processes and coaching teams for daily performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).

6–8 years of experience leading a team of technical professionals in RF assembly/testing.

Experience managing Assemblers, Operators, and RF Microwave Test Technicians.

Manufacturing experience in RF assembly is required; aerospace/defense industry experience strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of RF test methods, equipment, and associated software.

Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt certification (preferred).

Basic soldering skills and ability to work extra hours.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance (active SECRET clearance preferred).

Compensation $133,947.39 – $207,319.85 annually, depending on qualifications.

This position requires access to technology controlled by US export laws. Applicants must be a “US Person” under US export laws and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
