Managing Consultant - US Civil Infrastructure

The Superintendent is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing all field activities on assigned projects. This role ensures work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Project & Field Operations
Oversee daily jobsite operations, including supervision of field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Enforce jobsite safety policies and help establish and maintain the project safety plan.
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance and proper sequencing of work.
Conduct regular coordination meetings with subcontractors, owners, and field teams.
Monitor subcontractor progress and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Maintain “as-built” drawings, daily reports, and jobsite photos.
Identify and document potential change orders and back charges.
Anticipate and resolve field conflicts and potential delays.
Implement strategies to ensure milestones and completion dates are achieved.
Promote a strong safety-first culture across all field activities in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Serve as the primary field liaison with the owner, project management team, and subcontractors.
Support the preparation and submission of RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
Maintain professional discipline and resolve personnel issues on-site, including authority to dismiss non-compliant field personnel.
Assist with project closeout, final inspections, and turnover documentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience supervising field operations on site development or civil construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Willingness to travel and work at various project locations as required.
