Overview
Position: District Board Certified Behavior Analyst Leave Replacement (Currently Anticipated February, 2026) Position Description
The Ridgewood Public Schools is seeking a skilled and compassionate District Behaviorist (BCBA) to support elementary and middle school students with diverse disabilities across various instructional settings. This district-wide role is essential in promoting positive behavior, fostering social-emotional growth, and providing targeted support to students, staff, and programs throughout the district. The Behaviorist will be responsible for conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), developing and monitoring individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), consulting with staff, and providing training and support in the implementation of ABA-based strategies. This includes collaborating with teachers and CST members, modeling interventions, analyzing data, and promoting consistent behavior supports across classrooms. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a student-centered, inclusive educational environment focused on evidence-based practices and collaborative teamwork. Responsibilities
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs). Develop and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Consult with staff and provide training and support in the implementation of ABA-based strategies. Collaborate with teachers and CST members, model interventions, analyze data, and promote consistent behavior supports across classrooms. Support district-wide behavior initiatives and contribute to student-centered planning. Qualifications
Board Certified Behavior Analyst NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification, preferred Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education or related fields BACB qualifications to supervise RBTs, preferred Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills Strong writing ability Experience with a variety of areas of special needs including but not limited to Autism, Cognitive Impairments, Emotional Disabilities and students with significant behavioral and emotional challenges Start Date:
TBD (anticipated February, 2026) Working Conditions
