Responsibilities
Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for planning, analysis, and control.
Perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.
Gather, analyze, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, investment activity, customer deals, future requirements, and operating forecasts.
Develop, implement, and monitor financial performance metrics, including store performance, profit, and sales drivers.
Ensure development and distribution of reports and recommendations for financial and performance planning and related decision tools.
Support Finance teams in developing and measuring financial plans and productivity forecasts company‑wide.
Gather and analyze accounting and financial data to support business performance analysis and forecasting.
Use regional and global reporting to provide insight to leadership on period‑end results.
Collaborate with other teams to understand changing business needs and incorporate them into forward‑looking guidance.
Develop and provide reports and recommendations to help leadership analyze key success metrics and productivity measures.
Develop and recommend improved data collection and analysis methods, including:
Improving automation and standardization.
Rapid response to changing business conditions.
Ensuring data security, availability, and integrity.
Monitor financial analysis metrics to identify patterns, trends, and emerging challenges.
Ensure wide‑spread sharing and application of lessons learned.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root‑cause analysis, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact.
MBA, CPA, or equivalent.
Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
Experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting results.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
