Finance Manager, AWS Energy & Sustainability, AWS Energy Finance Join the AWS Energy & Sustainability Finance team within the AWS Infrastructure Finance organization. The AWS Energy team delivers data center energy, procures carbon‑free power, and develops sustainability strategy. As a Finance Manager, you will support end‑to‑end portfolio valuation, FP&A reporting, energy OPEX/ CAPEX portfolio reporting, month‑end close, automation, and decision‑making at the deal and portfolio level.

In This Role, You Can Expect To

Drive reporting for the AMER energy portfolio, supporting sustainability goals and scaling AWS data center growth.

Develop deep knowledge of the energy markets and the energy deals in our portfolio.

Lead financial evaluation and analysis of complex, long‑term energy agreements; develop comprehensive financial models to assess deal economics, risks, and returns; provide strategic recommendations to shape deal structures and influence go‑forward energy procurement strategies while ensuring alignment with AWS's financial objectives and growth targets.

Report on the financial performance of our Energy portfolio and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and bi‑annual reviews.

Develop automated web‑based tooling and reporting to support financial reporting on renewable deals, energy deals, and energy CAPEX reporting.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of experience delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).

6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root‑cause analysis, and implementing an escalation plan.

Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
