Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager Engineer Vector Consulting, Inc. (Headquartered in Atlanta) is partnering with a government client to fill a 12+ month renewable onsite contract role in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on System Center Service Manager (SC SM), Orchestrator and Cireson administration, and development of request workflows.

Scope of the Project The agency seeks an experienced System Center Service Manager administrator to maintain infrastructure, intake service requests, develop workflows in System Center Orchestrator, and manage the Cireson web portal. The role will also collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and recommend enhancements.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities

Report to the Agency Bureau Chief of Information Technology Services and collaborate with business units to gather and develop requirements for Service Manager requests.

Develop and maintain new Service Manager request workflows.

Work with System Center Orchestrator: create, maintain and update orchestrator workflows.

Manage Cireson software: maintain/update, work with vendors and update JavaScript for service requests.

Maintain, update and patch System Center, Orchestrator and Cireson.

Interact with staff, other team members and external vendors to compile and manage information for Service Manager requests.

Create deliverables and artifacts for audiences with varying technical knowledge.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert (SME) / point of contact (POC) for Service Manager environment processes.

Recommend improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and productivity to leadership.

Act as liaison between technical team and management, including executive level stakeholders.

Provide after‑hours project and platform support as needed.

Program Experience Current or recent experience with Microsoft System Center is required and will be given the highest weight. Preferred experience includes documented success with previous MS System Center projects in enterprise environments.

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)

Minimum 3 years in a development role supporting MS System Center, demonstrating deep understanding of services & features, site design & best practices.

Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in Microsoft Azure.

Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in Microsoft Windows Servers.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an IT methodology framework (e.g., ITIL, MITA).

Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance)

Working knowledge of System Center Service Manager, Cireson, Orchestrator, JavaScript.

Working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, HTML, XML, PowerShell.

Experience with healthcare and healthcare‑related requirements.

Experience with major project implementation.

Knowledge of HIPAA, CDC, and other network infrastructure and server frameworks.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related work experience.

Preferred Education/Certifications

Microsoft Server Administrator certifications.

Compensation

Salary Range: $130,000 – $140,000 per year.
