School Nutrition Worker Float – One Year – Temporary 30hr Position
Do you enjoy making a difference in children’s lives? Join our dedicated nutrition services team and help fuel student success every day! We are currently seeking a School Nutrition worker floater to support multiple school kitchens across our district. As a floater, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring students receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a clean, safe and friendly environment.
This position is Monday through Friday (6 hours a day).
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve breakfast & lunch according to USDA and district guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and cafeteria.
Travel between school sites to fill in as needed.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid Maine CHR-C (background & fingerprinting).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Knowledge and use of a computer.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
Flexibility and a positive attitude are a must.
Start date:
Immediately
Salary:
$17.75/hr.
