Senior Electrical Commissioning Agent
– HDR

Responsibilities
Serve as the main contact between client and HDR, directing and managing all commissioning activities.
Execute commissioning services within budgeted man‑hours and timelines.
Coordinate scheduling with client and contractors, develop pre‑functional checklists, functional performance tests, training plans, O&M procedures, and record shop drawings.
Support the TMT and Data Commissioning Team for electrical commissioning efforts.
Lead commissioning projects, ensuring adherence to HDR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Maintain documentation and instrumentation necessary for commissioning.
Travel up to 65% domestic.
Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Certifications
CIT Level 1
NFPA 70E
OSHA 10/30
NETA
LEED Accredited
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years electrical commissioning experience in mission‑critical data centers.
Led Tier 1/Tier 2 projects, experienced through Level 1–5 commissioning.
Experience with functional performance testing (FPT) and integrated system testing (IST).
Knowledge of medium‑voltage transformers, switchgear, switchboards, generators, UPS, PDU, ATS, STS, panelboards, lighting control systems.
Led daily commissioning meetings, reported progress to project managers, trained junior personnel.
Developed commissioning plans, schedules, and executive summaries.
Preference for local candidates and US‑born citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8 years industry experience in mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
Licensed PE or experienced field technician with MEP systems knowledge.
Computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook, Project.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong knowledge of construction practices, systems engineering, operations fundamentals, contracting, and general business operations.
Project accounting and financial management knowledge.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Commitment to employee‑owned culture.

Compensation: $136,836 – $195,480 (Washington, DC).
