The pay range per hour is $23.50 - $39.95. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Leadership Skills You’ll Gain

Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest‑first culture on your team.

Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotion strategies.

Typical Responsibilities

Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience; model, train and coach expectations to deliver the standard.

Lead your team and drive fulfillment goals, understanding your role in supporting sales growth and store profitability.

Use workload planning tools to ensure your team completes all scheduled workload and all orders are fulfilled on time.

Review fulfillment reporting, identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve them.

Create daily plans for your team under direction of the leader.

Be an expert of operations, accuracy, process and efficiency.

Enable efficient delivery by leading pick‑up and ship‑from‑store workload.

Recommend candidates for open positions, develop a guest‑centric team and support onboarding.

Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy and timeliness; hold team members accountable and close training gaps through coaching.

Work a flexible schedule that aligns to guest and business needs (early morning, evening, weekends and holidays).

Ensure supplies are ordered timely and stocked in partnership with the leader.

Apply safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier.

Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences.

Lead a safety culture: model safe behaviors, identify hazards, hold team accountable to safety expectations, assist with incident response, and report injuries promptly.

Execute physical security processes to enhance the in‑store security culture.

Support merchandise protection strategies—ordering, storage and application per best practices.

Close skill gaps through coaching and team interactions.

Address store emergency and compliance needs.

Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU) and Drive‑Up (DU), maintaining compliance with alcohol laws.

Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.

Engage guests warmly and solve their specific needs.

Thank guests and express appreciation for choosing Target.

Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age 18 years.

Previous retail experience preferred but not required.

Experience leading and holding others accountable.

Adaptability to current technology.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Workload prioritization and prioritization skills.

Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and teammates.

Effective communication skills.

Additional Physical & Technical Requirements

Access all building areas to respond to guest or teammate issues.

Interpret instructions, reports and information.

Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.

Climb up and down ladders.

Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, frequently lifting up to 44 pounds alone and 45‑100 pounds as a team.

Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
