Responsibilities

Perform testing and evaluation on a variety of products to meet national, international, or industry-specific performance and durability standards or regulatory product safety standards (U.S., Canadian, and international). Travel at least 50% of the time. Conduct on‑and off‑site evaluation of products, including reading and determining applicability of national codes and standards, comprehending client-provided or published performance or product safety standards, and examining electrical and mechanical schematics and manufacturing instructions. Validate project scope and sample applicability, identify and locate test instruments and equipment, build and calibrate test fixtures. Follow established test plans, set up and operate EUT, perform and document repairs as needed, conduct thorough construction review or sample inspection. Perform product testing in accordance with standards (e.g., Battery Cycling, Temperature/Humidity soak or cycle, durability cycling, voltage/current measurement, dielectric, pressure, abnormal and fault condition simulation, rain, dust, corrosion). Operate standard test equipment, including temperature/humidity chambers; programmable power supplies; PLCs or other controllers; pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuators; AC/DC power supplies and loads; oscilloscope; multimeter; dielectric strength tester; ground continuity tester; digital multimeter; surge generator; over-voltage tester; environmental condition chamber; and articulated probes. Handle samples per procedures: log in/out of system, move equipment, properly package sample for shipment. Compile test results and produce final report using established report shell, submit for approval. Communicate project status and test results to clients, sales personnel, and management throughout testing; provide ongoing client support. Identify, document, and recommend engineering judgments within policy guidelines. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. 0+ years of directly related experience. Self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Excellent organization and time-management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation ability. Customer-focused, quality driven. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license; reliable driving record. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Must reside in and be legally eligible to work in the United States; I-9 compliance required. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in electrical engineering, energy, or related field. Prior project management experience. Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian, and international product safety standards (ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC). Experience with renewable energy, energy storage systems, inverters, power conversion systems. Location
