RMN Engineering BOM Coordinator

Position Summary The Engineering BOM Coordinator will support the engineering team by creating and maintaining accurate product data that drives manufacturing and purchasing activities. This role translates engineering designs and specifications into structured Bill of Materials (BOM) information, ensuring all part numbers, descriptions, and quantities are complete and correct. Working closely with engineers, production, and procurement, the Engineering BOM Coordinator helps implement design changes, manage revisions, and maintain data integrity within the ERP/MRP system to support efficient, high‑quality custom manufacturing.
Essential Functions
Create, update, and maintain BOMs within the ERP/MRP system.
Verify accuracy of part numbers, descriptions, and quantities.
Collaborate with engineering to incorporate design changes into BOMs.
Support purchasing and production teams with accurate component data.
Assist in tracking revisions and configuration management.
Troubleshoot discrepancies in BOM data and coordinate corrections.
Work with vendors to ensure purchased items meet customer and internal requirements.
Continually improve the accuracy and efficiency of the BOM specification process.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role required.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite, etc.) required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation required.
Familiarity with ISO, or other quality standards preferred.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills preferred.
Knowledge of CAD systems (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) preferred.
Other Qualifications
Valid driver’s license.
May need to travel off‑site for tradeshows, meetings, or company‑related events.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally.
Overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department.
Travel: local, overnight, and prolonged periods as required.
