Job Brief
Lead the risk & reliability function for critical machines at the plant. You will promote and develop more mature reliability management approaches, maintaining effective utilization of machine condition monitoring & machine performance monitoring.

This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule (Every other Friday off)
Responsibilities
Lead the risk & reliability function for rotating machines at the plant, promoting and developing mature reliability management approaches and maintaining effective utilization of machine condition monitoring and machine performance monitoring.
Maintain high standards in how we carry out overhauls and preventative maintenance.
Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
Support Rotating Equipment Improvement initiatives – Maintenance initiatives & Capital Projects.
Provide daily support to Operations & Maintenance.
Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) hazard studies.
Ensure that all rotating plant equipment assets have effective Reliability and Capability Life Plans.
Work closely with Maintenance Planners to align preventive & predictive maintenance work orders in SAP with equipment maintenance strategies.
Ensure operation of critical machines within defined integrity operating windows.
Identify, assess, document & mitigate major rotating equipment risks in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Influence a significant reduction in the frequency and business impact of rotating equipment failures.
Complete equipment failure investigations using root cause analysis techniques for rotating equipment hazard, near miss and incidents.
Conduct engineering statistical reliability studies from risk assessments, criticality data, corrective maintenance history and failure history.
Assure compliance to relevant external statutory regulations and internal plant and engineering standards, and communicate such requirements to the relevant stakeholders.
Serve as Responsible Engineer for the management of Rotating Equipment per the IPL standard.
Implement and audit standards and guidelines in collaboration with other Engineers and Operations personnel.
Ensure application of Company Management of Change (MOC) policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
5+ years in maintenance and/or engineering of a petro-chemical manufacturing plant, power generation or similar heavy industry environment.
Knowledge of rotating plant equipment and good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, fabrication and repair processes.
Technically competent with respect to management of rotating equipment including rotor dynamics, performance monitoring, lubrication management, condition monitoring, reliability benchmarks, and machinery overhaul practices.
Familiarity with Safety Management Systems, Quality Management Systems, and Turnaround Management systems.
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
