Overview

Team Lead, Petsense at Petsense by Tractor Supply. This position assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by providing outstanding customer service. It also promotes a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, and trains Team Members on the appropriate application of policies and procedures. Responsibilities

Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work scheduled shifts with the ability to cover varied hours, days, nights, weekends and overtime as needed. Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures. Support selling initiatives (TEAM) by: thanking the customer, engaging with the customer and/or pet, advising on products or services, and making the interaction memorable. Execute assigned basic, promotional, and seasonal merchandising activities. Perform Opening/Closing procedures. Transport and make deposits to the bank. Assess store conditions and assign duties; organize and prioritize workflow. Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process. Perform regular and promotional price changes; resolve customer complaints to ensure a positive experience. Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls as needed. Communicate with Team Members on job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals. Operate cash register and supervise cash handling procedures. Assist Team Members on the appropriate application of policies and procedures. Ensure the safety and well-being of live animals and sanitize/maintain holding tanks as required. Complete all documentation associated with the above duties. Required Qualifications

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Experience: Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately. Preferred Knowledge, Skills Or Abilities

Pet/Live Animal knowledge; pet food and pet product knowledge is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict. Basic computer skills. Ability to perform and execute the principal responsibilities of Team Members. Working Conditions

Working environment is generally inside with moderate noise. Indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces; lighting and temperature are adequate. Shifts vary by store but are generally no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours. Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers and adhere to safety training and guidelines. Physical Requirements

Non-sedentary position; requires moving throughout the store and outdoor areas quickly and safely. Ability to operate all job-related equipment safely and accurately; provide high level of customer service. Physical and mental ability to perform tasks including lifting and moving merchandise up to 50 pounds, standing, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and traversing the store area. Ability to travel as required to support district needs and to drive or operate a vehicle for business needs. Disclaimer
