Miami Jewish Health is one of the largest providers of healthcare and living options for aging adults in the Southeast. We operate Florida PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Centers, the largest PACE program in Florida, which serves as a health plan, healthcare provider, and social center designed for older adults with complex medical needs. We have four adult day health centers that serve participants in Miami‑Dade and Broward counties.
Job Title Rehabilitation Technician PACE
Job Summary Assist Therapists, provide maintenance care. Maintain supplies and equipment, keep the department clean and orderly.
Essential Job Functions
Assists Therapists and assistants (PT, OT and/or ST) in treatment
Provides maintenance care to participants per interdisciplinary team plan of care.
Prepares participants for treatment
Responsible for routine cleaning and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
Maintains documentation per established department policies and procedures
Participates in assigned team meetings
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
2 years of related experience
Licenses/Certifications
Current BLS from the American Heart Association
Abilities Required
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Must be able to treat patients of all ages including geriatrics
Must be bilingual (English & Spanish); knowledge of Creole is a plus
Microsoft Word & computer skills
Environment Work Conditions
Normal working condition with adequate lighting and ventilation
Infectious Material Exposure
Possible exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues
