Travel ER RN – Fusion Medical Staffing
Join us as a Travel ER Registered Nurse for a 13‑week assignment in Rochester, New York. You will provide high‑quality, rapid‑response patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits and supportive clinical team.
Pay Range Base pay range is provided by Fusion Medical Staffing. Actual pay will reflect your skills and experience.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an ER RN.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/ARC).
Current ENPC certification or equivalent.
Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, SANE certifications.
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
Job Summary The Emergency Room Registered Nurse delivers rapid‑response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department setting. The role involves patient assessment, urgent care planning, life‑saving interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Work Functions
Rapidly assess and triage patients on arrival, prioritizing based on severity.
Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments per approved protocols.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments.
Monitor patient comfort and safety; respond to immediate needs.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
Initiate patient education plans tailored to acute care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for comprehensive care.
Perform other duties within scope of practice.
Adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal skills.
Computer skills and basic PC proficiency.
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), and perform fine manipulation.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle close supervision or independent work.
Effective communication and visual acuity.
