Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent certification.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, preferably within the healthcare or social assistance industry.
Strong knowledge of GASB, healthcare financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
Experience with healthcare financial systems such as Epic, Cerner, Lawson or Meditech.
Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement models including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams in a healthcare setting.
Advanced skills in data analytics and financial modeling.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations.
Develop and implement internal controls and policies to safeguard organizational assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor financial performance against budget, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial data and support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare financial regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and accounting standards.
Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members to enhance departmental capabilities and performance.
