Marine Electrical Engineer

is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our Maritime Systems Division in Long Beach, MS. This role involves designing and integrating advanced electrical power systems for next‑generation platforms, including manned and unmanned maritime applications.
Candidates with experience in industrial, commercial, or defense‑related electrical systems are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical power systems, including AC/DC distribution, switchgear, and control systems.
Create and update electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD.
Ensure designs meet applicable standards such as IEEE, ABS, DNV, USCG, and IMO.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate electrical subsystems into larger platforms.
Support prototype development, testing, and deployment.
Conduct verification and validation of electrical systems.
Prepare technical documentation including test plans, reports, and design packages.
Troubleshoot and optimize systems for performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
3+ years of professional experience in electrical system design and integration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical documentation.
Solid understanding of analog/digital circuits and power distribution.
Willingness to travel for field testing and system integration.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; requires U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marine, industrial, or defense electrical systems.
Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley), SCADA, and embedded control systems.
Knowledge of MIL‑STD design practices and regulatory compliance.
Prior involvement in DoD or government programs.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles for control systems.
Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus, CANbus, NMEA 2000).
