Job Overview The Cosmetics & Fragrances Training Manager supports the Manager of Sales & Customer Service in driving sales through focused execution of Macy’s selling initiatives. This role trains, coaches, and develops Counter Managers, Beauty Advisors, and Make-up Artists to advance business results, leverage product knowledge, and expand team skills. The Cosmetics & Fragrances Training Manager leads colleagues through new training and initiatives while holding them accountable for execution. This role is also responsible for driving repeat client development, ensuring elevated merchandise presentation, and maintaining a clean, neat, and organized shopping environment for customers.
What You Will Do
Drive and exceed sales goals through effective training, coaching, and recognition.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience, positioning Macy’s as the premier global destination for beauty and fragrance.
Coach Beauty colleagues to consistently demonstrate effective selling behaviors, grow sales, and build loyalty through My Client.
Observe Beauty colleagues to ensure selling behaviors are executed; provide feedback to maintain outstanding customer experiences.
Ensure Beauty Advisors and Counter Managers are fully trained on new application techniques, products, customer journeys, and initiatives.
Reinforce training by coaching Beauty Advisors and Counter Managers to build strong client relationships.
Leverage colleague metrics to provide recognition, deliver coaching, and develop strategies to improve sales results.
Partner with Store teams to lead event execution and brand-specific selling initiatives.
Ensure accuracy of promotional presentations; execute vendor promotions flawlessly by achieving pre-sell and appointment goals.
Motivate Beauty Advisors to drive enrollment in Macy’s Star Rewards program by reinforcing the benefits of new accounts.
Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Skills You Will Need Sales Coaching & Development:
Proven ability to train, coach, and develop Beauty Advisors, Counter Managers, and Make-up Artists to drive sales growth and client loyalty.
Customer Experience Leadership:
Strong ability to deliver and reinforce exceptional customer experiences that position Macy’s as a premier beauty and fragrance destination.
Training & Facilitation:
Expertise in delivering product knowledge, application techniques, and selling behaviors through engaging and impactful training programs.
Performance Management:
Skilled at leveraging metrics to provide recognition, deliver feedback, and develop strategies that improve individual and team results.
Event & Initiative Execution:
Ability to partner with store teams and vendors to flawlessly execute events, brand activations, and promotional initiatives.
Relationship Building:
Strong ability to develop and maintain productive partnerships with colleagues, store teams, vendors, and customers.
Leadership & Influence:
Demonstrated ability to empower, motivate, and hold teams accountable for executing selling strategies and initiatives.
Problem Solving & Adaptability:
Ability to anticipate challenges, act decisively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining focus on results.
Communication & Presentation Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences, including colleagues, management, and vendors.

Who You Are
Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply
2+ years of experience in a leadership/supervisory position in a service-driven environment
This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands.
Involves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
May involve reaching above eye level
Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs
Able to travel as needed
