Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid – onsite & remote)
Employment Type: Full‑time
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 annually, with bonus potential.
Overview The Commercial Construction – Project Manager will oversee multiple large‑scale projects, managing budgets, estimating costs, and sourcing resources while maintaining strong relationships with construction professionals and clients. The role requires a self‑motivated, innovative, and organized professional with exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.
Manage and coordinate all construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and budgets.
Oversee pre‑construction and construction processes, including permitting, subcontractor selection, and resource allocation.
Budget Management
Establish and manage project budgets, forecast costs, and track expenses.
Conduct regular financial analyses and prepare budget reports.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
Lead, motivate, and coordinate the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary client contact point, ensuring expectations are met and issues resolved efficiently.
Conduct regular project meetings, provide updates, and facilitate problem‑solving.
Quality and Compliance
Implement and enforce quality control standards and processes.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
Risk Management
Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
Maintain documentation of change orders, delays, and cost adjustments.
Prepare and present monthly reports to upper management.
Project Closeout
Oversee closeout, ensuring punch list items are completed and final inspections approved.
Review and finalize project documents and handoff to the client.
Technology Utilization
Leverage construction management software and tools to track progress and enhance communication.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
Training and Development
Provide mentorship and training to team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; field experience considered.
Minimum 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, methods, and local building codes.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
NC Building Contractor qualifier credentials or willingness to pursue qualification.
Experience with commercial real estate and base building projects in multifamily, build‑to‑rent, and industrial sectors.
Familiarity with QuickBooks or ERP construction accounting is a plus.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Compensation
$100,000 – $120,000 annually.
