Responsibilities
Lead tax engagements, including scheduling, staffing, and completing returns; provide first-level technical review; conduct research on technical matters; manage internal and client deadline expectations.
Develop and maintain client relationships; serve as primary client contact, proactively gather tax information, respond to client inquiries, identify tax planning opportunities, and elevate concerns to engagement manager or partner.
Prepare and review quarterly estimates and year-end projections.
Respond to IRS and state tax notices.
Supervise, train, and mentor Tax Associates and Interns; act as Project Manager ensuring work is prioritized and completed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in accounting.
CPA eligible; actively pursuing CPA license is required; active CPA license preferred.
2-3 years or more of experience, preferably in public accounting.
Proficiency in partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and/or individual taxation.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent technical tax research, summarization, and communication skills.
Excellent coaching and development of tax associates and interns.
Desire to give back to your community.
