Senior Financial Analyst – Fund Accounting
Position at Henry Ford Health.
Job Overview The Henry Ford Health System Fund Accounting department is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the post‑award administration of sponsored research projects, including government grants and contracts, private agency grants, gifts and internally‑funded projects. The analyst will perform accounting functions to ensure projects are carried out within budget guidelines set forth by funding agencies, maintain accounting records, systems and procedures, and assist the Fund Accounting Manager with fiscal requirements and deliverables of grants and contracts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provide financial information to management on direct research costs and assist principal investigators in the fiscal management of their laboratories, including setting up new accounts and budgets, monitoring expenditures to assure they are allowable and within budget, performing financial analysis and projections of funding status, reporting to awarding agencies, and participating in audits.
Possess knowledge of CFR Part 200 and provide excellent customer service, organization, analytical, and time‑management skills, and the ability to present complicated financial analysis to a variety of staff members.
Multitask and pay attention to detail across multiple assignments.
Manage a large volume of assignments.
Education / Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, and ability to perform V‑Lookups.
Power BI knowledge is a plus.
