Position Overview This is a full‑time OPS position with regular hours Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position will be hired at $25.00 hourly and is non‑negotiable. Travel may be required 1–15%. Background and fingerprint screening are required.
The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, licensing and regulating nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct audits, write summary reports, and issue audit reports in accordance with state and federal rules, laws, and statutes.
Perform data and programmatic analyses, conduct desk audits, and coordinate with internal staff and peer reviewers.
Collaborate with attorneys to support and defend work products throughout the judicial process.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert and support other analysts as needed.
Assist in investigations and audits related to fraud, abuse, and waste through research and analysis of complex health and business data.
Plan and conduct audits using open‑source and proprietary resources, monitor case status, prepare referrals to law enforcement, analyze trends and patterns, and collaborate on projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Problem solving and decision making based on available information.
Project execution within fast‑paced environments.
Conduct investigations, coordinate activities, and document results accurately.
Fact‑finding research and independent work.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Review and comprehend applicable federal and state laws, rules, policies, and regulations related to health care and enforcement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Travel willingness.
Knowledge of the Florida Medicaid Program and investigative principles.
Organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications One year of professional experience in health care within a service delivery, administrative, regulatory, or oversight setting.
Preference given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher in healthcare administration, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or a substantially similar field.
Preference for behavioral health experience or training, including licensure such as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Behavioral Analysis Certification.
Preference for program integrity certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner, Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator, Certified Financial Crimes Investigator, Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator, or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional.
