Our Outpatient Clinical Services Department is seeking a Mental Health Therapist/Clinician to join our Veterans Count team! This position provides the opportunity to work with couples and individuals, with a focus on serving Veterans. This is an opportunity to find your purpose while making a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of service members, Veterans, and their families.
In this role, the successful candidate will offer direct clinical support to clients receiving individual or marriage and couples counseling, either in-office or via telehealth. This is a hybrid position, with the opportunity to work 2 days remote.
Qualifications and Skills
Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or other licensed degree
Licensed: LMFT, LICSW, or LCMHC
Training or experience in:
Couples’ relational treatment modalities or approaches (e.g., EFT, Gottman, Love Languages, family systems)
The application of other modalities to couples/relational work (e.g., Solution-Focused, Narrative) and comfort with addressing intimacy challenges
Relational communication tools (e.g., I Statements, Reflective Listening, Speaker-Listener) and relational dynamics (e.g., Distancer-Pursuer)
Trauma-focused modalities (e.g., EMDR, CPT for PTSD) preferred
Experience with:
Assessment of relational/communication challenges and dynamics, and developing relational treatment plans and goals
Trauma-informed care and an understanding of how PTSD can adversely affect relationships
Individual therapy modalities in addition to above (e.g., CBT, DBT)
Assessing for substance misuse and/or suicide risk and the development of plans for treatment
Comfort and confidence in managing in-session conflict and the creation of a balanced therapeutic experience
Utilization expected to be 26 billable hours per week.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Hours This is a full-time position.
Compensation $72,000 annual salary
