Pharmacy Technician Liaison - Sharp Grossmont Specialty Pharmacy - Day Shift - Full Time
Hours:
Variable shift start and end times; 8‑hour shift per day with an 8/40‑hour work week requirement.
Pay Range:
$30,370 – $42,510 per hour.
Actual compensation will vary with experience, licensure, and market factors.
What You Will Do:
Expand Sharp Specialty Pharmacy Services by offering services to qualifying patients and increasing patient satisfaction.
Work clinic‑facing in SRS and SCMG, recruiting patients prescribed specialty medications, and providing efficiencies in procurement and prior authorizations.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 Year of specialty pharmacy experience
California Pharmacy Technician License (TCH) – required
Driver’s License – required; clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
2 Years of pharmacy experience in a related clinical area
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – preferred
Other Qualification Requirements:
Reliable transportation and adequate insurance coverage; clean driving record per DMV pull and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines
Essential Functions:
Clinical and Education Services:
Work alongside clinicians in clinic and phone visits; educate patients; support outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs; grow the specialty pharmacy’s patient population; manage adherence and refill requests; communicate refill, zero‑fill, and appointment reports.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Clear communication of goals and instruction; participation in staff orientation and training; evaluate workflow and direct daily workload; staff meetings; maintain positive relationships and teamwork.
Customer Service:
Prompt, accurate services; develop collaborative relationships with clinics, vendors, providers; answer phone and emails promptly.
Department Efficiency & Effectiveness:
Telephone message management; daily organization; readiness of reports; assist other departments as assigned; maintain confidentiality; travel as needed.
Data Collection & Medication Adjudication:
Communicate with medical offices for labs; process prior authorizations, monitor PBM adjudication, and communicate decisions; document rationale for non‑approval; maintain database accuracy; support audits and quality checks; assist in Pharmacy and Therapeutics initiatives; train new employees.
