Join Sharp HealthCare as a Pharmacy Technician in our Float Pool. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will provide technical knowledge and expertise required for comprehensive pharmaceutical care. Hours:

$27.840 - $34.800 - $41.770 What You Will Do Provides technical knowledge, skill, and expertise for comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including IV preparation management, inventory control, medication delivery, medication safety and use, processing medication orders, and supply maintenance. Required Qualifications California Pharmacy Technician License (TCH) - CA State Board of Pharmacy - REQUIRED Other Education pursuant to licensure requirement Preferred Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent 1 Year experience in hospital pharmacy environment Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board - PREFERRED Essential Functions IV preparation management: prepares all IV admixtures, handles chemotherapeutic agents, and performs primary check of labeling Inventory control: communicates special or urgent inventory needs, cleans and documents cleaning of equipment, and maintains med storage Medication delivery: delivers medications to Pyxis MedStations, exchanges medication cassettes, and responds to special delivery requests Medication safety and use: participates in surveillance initiatives, identifies potential medication safety improvement opportunities, and proactively participates in medication safety initiatives Processes medication orders: adheres to legal and pharmacy procedures, prioritizes new orders, and prepares medications for delivery Supply maintenance: prints, accurately fills, and verifies completion of all fill lists, sustains a high level of accuracy, and documents doses dispensed Sharp HealthCare is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
