Position Overview We are seeking an urgent care focused Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Urgent Care team in the DFW area. Key Responsibilities

Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing and obtaining comprehensive or problem‑focused physical examinations and medical histories.

Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.

Prescribe, recommend, and/or employ medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatments and procedures in accordance with approved policies, with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost.

Formulate and implement comprehensive outcomes‑based patient treatment plans with evidence‑based medicine, standards of care, professional practice guidelines, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

Advise patients and families regarding medical processes, management of the illness/condition, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.

Maintain appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes; initiate timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope of practice.

Provide consultation‑level services for conditions related to the Provider’s specialty and training.

Perform invasive procedures specific to scope of practice and provider’s level of expertise as delegated by the supervising Physician.

May be required to perform patient care duties beyond the regular schedule based on coverage needs of the department.

Key Success Factors

Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of human injuries, diseases, and deformities.

Knowledge of practices, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions.

Verbal and written communication skills.

Interpersonal skills.

Critical thinking and complex problem‑solving skills.

Computer literacy and use of related software applications.

Ability to develop and implement outcomes‑based treatment plans.

Ability to counsel patients regarding medical conditions and behavior modification.

Ability to interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Current Texas PA license.

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Current NCCPA certification.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited PA program.

Experience: 1 year of experience.

Certification/Licensure: Current Texas PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
