We have been transforming our Human Resources function across the region. We are looking for a driven

Sr. HR Business Partner

to work with the Marine business in North America, and our Strategic Sales and Marketing organization, to enable growth by focusing on our most important asset — our people. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources for the Americas, this role will also act as team lead and mentor for other HR Partners in North America.

The Senior HR Business Partner

plays a critical role in supporting key and rapidly growing business units by delivering strategic HR guidance aligned with organizational goals. In collaboration with regional Centers of Excellence, this role will lead initiatives that drive employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. By fostering strong partnerships with leadership, the Sr. HRBP will help position Fugro as an employer of choice, ensuring HR strategies support both immediate needs and long-term growth.

Job Responsibilities

Lead by example and prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental protection

Build strong relationships with stakeholders in the business and HR, focusing on strategic guidance and integrity

Directly support stakeholders in strategic people matters, change management, and organizational effectiveness

Provide consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees, aligning with Fugro policies and objectives

Develop knowledge of the supported organization, its culture, needs, and development opportunities

Evaluate state of people in key business lines to identify strengths and improvement opportunities

Collaborate with management to ensure efficiency in organizational design, talent planning, succession, coaching, and development

Maintain knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements; partner with Legal as needed

Lead design, implementation, and delivery of HR initiatives across internal groups

Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify workforce needs and ensure alignment with the "right people, right role, right time" philosophy

Drive growth and culture through organizational and talent strategies for a high-performing team

Improve engagement, inclusion, manager capability, mobility, retention, and leadership development; track metrics over time

Collaborate with HR Operations, Talent, and Leadership Development and other partners as needed

Travel North America up to 15%

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Economics or Engineering required

7+ years of work experience in HR or equivalent transferable skills

Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field

Proven experience managing multiple aspects of the HR function

Strategic mindset and proactive business partnering

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to drive change and coach leaders

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-informed decision-making skills

Process-improvement oriented; Workday experience is a plus
